Everett Alvarez moved up to 432 from 484 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Monterey Bay - Pacific. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of beating North Salinas 36-34.

Everett Alvarez extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Vikings, 36-34. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.

Brandon Boyd was a beast in the backfield as Gilroy beat North Monterey County.

Boyd provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Mustangs topped the Condors. Boyd's favorite target this week was Riley Filice-hollar, who caught 5 passes for 57 yards.

Boyd was the best running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 250 yards as Gilroy bested North Monterey County. Teammate David Montes added to the ground attack by rushing for 13 yards.

5-foot-11 quarterback Sterling Montgomery of Christopher is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,371. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Filice-hollar. The Gilroy star has 21 catches for 339 yards.

The top two teams in Monterey Bay - Pacific will face off this week when first place Everett Alvarez takes on second place Gilroy. The Eagles beat North Salinas last week, while Brian Boyd's team bested Hector Villalobos' team.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Mustangs take on Everett Alvarez. Gilroy has allowed 110 points this season, while the Eagles have given up 133. The Mustangs allowed 7 points last week as they topped the Condors.

North Monterey County fell to Gilroy 55-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
