Volleyball Recap: Utah Military Academy - Hill Field Comes Up Short

Utah Military Academy - Hill Field was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the American Heritage Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunderbirds of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Leading American Heritage to victory were Joey Haymond and Sam Wilson. Haymond had 11 digs and one assist, while Wilson had nine kills and one block. That's the most digs Haymond has posted since back in April of 2024.

Utah Military Academy - Hill Field's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for American Heritage, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Utah Military Academy - Hill Field didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Freedom Prep Academy on the 14th. As for American Heritage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Payson on the 14th.
