Basketball Recap: Shrine Catholic Takes a Loss

Shrine Catholic was the 34-7 winner over University Liggett when they last played one another back in March of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Shrine Catholic Knights took a 48-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the University Liggett Knights on Wednesday.

Shrine Catholic dropped their record down to 7-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for University Liggett, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Shrine Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 39-38 victory against Bishop Foley on the 7th. As for University Liggett, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-28 win against Greenhills on the 7th.
