Recap: Amite Warriors vs. Franklinton Demons
The Amite Warriors pushed their score all the way to 60 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Franklinton by a score of 63-60. While losing is never fun, Amite can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Franklinton is ranked 73rd).
Despite the loss, Amite still got an impressive performance from Braylon Jackson, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. knoah robinson was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 5 assists.
This is the second loss in a row for Amite and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Franklinton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amite will face off against Lakeshore at 5:50 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklinton, they will head out on the road to face off against Pine on Friday.
