Recap: Le Roy Oatkan Knights vs. Warsaw Tigers
The Le Roy Oatkan Knights entered their tilt with the Warsaw Tigers with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Le Roy took their contest at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 76-48 win over Warsaw. Le Roy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 27 points or more this season.
Le Roy was led to victory by Jean Agosto and Merritt Holly Jr.. Agosto scored 20 points along with seven rebounds, while Holly Jr. dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Holly Jr. has scored at least a third of Le Roy's points. Cal Koukides was another key contributor, scoring four points along with two steals.
Le Roy pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Warsaw, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Le Roy will take on Bloomfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bloomfield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 601st, while Le Roy is ranked 200th). Warsaw will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Perry at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
