Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Yuma Catholic). They blew past the ALA - West Foothills Guardians 99-57 on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Shamrocks as they're now sitting on 12 straight.

Yuma Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sir Stokes, who went 10 for 15 on his way to 25 points and five assists. That's the most assists Stokes has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Fernando Vazquez Lima, who went 9 of 16 en route to 19 points in addition to seven steals and six boards.

Stokes wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Yuma Catholic was working as a unit and finished the game with 28 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, ALA - West Foothills still got an impressive performance from Zach Ramos, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 21 points. Aiden Anaya was another key player, putting up seven points and six rebounds.

Yuma Catholic's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for ALA - West Foothills, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-12.

Yuma Catholic has already played their next contest, an 80-29 win against Kingman on the 27th. As for ALA - West Foothills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 106-78 defeat against Parker on the 27th.
