Emersyn Smart Game Report: @ Maimonides

While Monday's win was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Emersyn Smart. She wasn't messing around on Monday, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The pitching appearance was her fifth straight with five or more strikeouts.

Coming up, Smart and Ursuline Academy will be playing at home against O'Bryant at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Tigers thanks in part to Smart: she struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk).
