South Panola high school football team clinches victory over West Point with strong fourth quarter.

BATESVILLE, Miss. -
South Panola (Batesville, Miss.) put up 14 points in the fourth quarter in Saturday's game to seal their 55-33 victory over
West Point (Miss.).
After taking the lead on a
Rip Kirk touchdown pass to
Darrell Henderson in the first quarter, the Tigers led 28-14 at the half.
South Panola expanded its lead to 20 points entering the fourth quarter. SP scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 37-17 win for the Batesville school.
In a non-conference game next week South Panola (2-0) takes on Meridian, and West Point (0-1) will go up against Starkville also in a non-conference game.
