The Hillcrest Huskies will challenge the Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hillcrest will be strutting in after a victory while Juan Diego Catholic will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Hillcrest turned things around against Summit Academy on Monday. They escaped with a win against the Bears by the margin of a single free throw, 39-38.

Emily Mandel and Addison Back were among the main playmakers for Hillcrest as the former went 5 for 8 on her way to 15 points and the latter posted ten points in addition to seven boards and three steals. That's the most points Mandel has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayana Mulamba, who put up four points along with ten boards and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Juan Diego Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 45-27 to North Sanpete.

Juan Diego Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Hillcrest, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
