Salem entered their tilt with Brighton on Wednesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 11-1 win. Considering the Rocks have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Salem's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Brighton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salem will face off against Pinckney at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
