Basketball Recap: Spencerport Takes a Loss

Spencerport lost against Webster Thomas back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spencerport Rangers took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Webster Thomas Titans. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 475th, while the Titans are ranked 98th).

Spencerport has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Webster Thomas, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Spencerport will head out to face off against Brighton at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Spencerport is facing Brighton at the right time seeing as Brighton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Webster Thomas has already played their next match (against Gates Chili), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
