Recap: Lakewood Ranch Mustangs vs. Parrish Community Bulls
The Lakewood Ranch Mustangs entered their tilt with the Parrish Community Bulls with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went Lakewood Ranch's way against Parrish Community on Wednesday as Lakewood Ranch made off with a 61-39 win. Winning is a bit easier when you drain five more threes than your opponent, as Lakewood Ranch did.
Lakewood Ranch found their leader in underclassman Isaiah Allen, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Liam Scalzo was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
Parrish Community's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taye Green, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Jamaal George, who scored 8 points.
Lakewood Ranch's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Parrish Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
Lakewood Ranch will head out on the road to face off against Braden River at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Braden River focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday. As for Parrish Community, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Saint Stephen's Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
