Woodruff had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Blacksburg on Monday. Woodruff never let Blacksburg get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Woodruff pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Blacksburg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Coming up, Woodruff will head out on the road to take on Landrum at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blacksburg, they will host Chesnee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chesnee will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Blacksburg surely won't give up without a fight.
