Baseball Recap: Plano East Takes a Loss

Plano East fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Plano West on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Plano West Wolves by a score of 6-5. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Plano East saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Barboza, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Jordan Yearby also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Plano East's loss dropped their record down to 9-7-1. As for Plano West, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-1 record this season.

While Plano East had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
