Soccer Game Preview: Benjamin Franklin vs. McGehee

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Benjamin Franklin duke it out with the McGehee at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday... Benjamin Franklin is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

Benjamin Franklin will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy on Friday. Benjamin Franklin blew past Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy 5-1. Considering the Falcons have won six contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, McGehee unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 3-0 to Academy of the Sacred Heart. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Hawks haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

Benjamin Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those ten games. As for McGehee, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1-1 and their overall record down to 7-8-1.

Benjamin Franklin took their victory against McGehee in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 5-1. Will Benjamin Franklin repeat their success, or does McGehee have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
