Basketball Recap: Andrean Find Success

Andrean lost to Highland back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Andrean Fighting 59ers walked away with a 55-48 victory over the Highland Trojans.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Walter Glover Jr, who went 9 for 18 on his way to 19 points. Those 19 points gave Glover Jr a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Slaven, who went 6 of 14 en route to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Andrean now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Highland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

Andrean will face off against Hammond Bishop Noll at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th. As for Highland, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wheeler at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th.
