Basketball Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

Greenville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners, falling 48-25. The Lakers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mariners earlier this season, when they won 36-23.

Greenville's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Deer Isle-Stonington, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.

Greenville will welcome Penquis Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Greenville is facing Penquis Valley at the right time seeing as Penquis Valley is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Deer Isle-Stonington, they will head out on the road to take on George Stevens Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
