Basketball Game Preview: New Buffalo Bison vs. Howardsville Christian Eagles

The New Buffalo Bison will face off against the Howardsville Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. New Buffalo is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Last Tuesday, New Buffalo earned a 44-32 victory over Our Lady of the Lake Catholic.

Lucas Forker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 15 boards. Another player making a difference was M'Nason Smothers, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Howardsville Christian). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Covert 80-26. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Howardsville Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for New Buffalo, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

New Buffalo couldn't quite finish off Howardsville Christian in their previous matchup back in February and fell 47-44. Can New Buffalo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
