Volleyball Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

Perry came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lima Senior Spartans, falling 3-0. The Commodores were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Alisandra Vanmeter was nothing short of spectacular for Lima Senior: she had 14 digs and five aces. Vanmeter has been hot recently, having posted five or more aces the last three times she's played.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Lima Senior, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry will challenge Waynesfield-Goshen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering the Commodores have lost eight straight at home and the Tigers four straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum. As for Lima Senior, they will face off against Scott at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
