Baseball Recap: Conestoga Christian Drops Season-High Score on La Academia Charter

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Conestoga Christian). Everything went their way against the La Academia Charter Leones on Monday as they made off with a 21-1 victory. The Cougars have beaten the Leones the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Leones has come to flipping the script.

Cameron Johnson was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Sawyer Barnett was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Conestoga Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Conestoga Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for La Academia Charter, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conestoga Christian will challenge West Shore Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for La Academia Charter, they will face off against Penn Wood at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
