Soccer Game Preview: Sunapee vs. Wilton-Lyndeborough

The Sunapee Lakers will venture away from home to square off against the Wilton-Lyndeborough Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Wilton-Lyndeborough is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

Friday just wasn't the day for Sunapee's offense. They came up short against Newmarket, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Sunapee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Newmarket are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wilton-Lyndeborough, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against Newport on Friday as they made off with a 9-1 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Wilton-Lyndeborough needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Sunapee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-2. As for Wilton-Lyndeborough, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
