Basketball Recap: Florida Prep Falcons vs. Master's Academy Patriots
This season hasn't been kind to the Florida Prep Falcons, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They were dealt a 40-1 loss at the hands of Master's Academy on Thursday. Florida Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 23-0.
It was another big night for Carissa Hennessey, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 21 rebounds, and ten steals for Master's Academy. Hennessey hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Alison Viersma, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten steals.
Florida Prep dropped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Master's Academy, their win ended a 19-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-20.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Pineapple Cove Classical Academy the next time they take the court. Master's Academy will head out to face Pineapple Cove Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Florida Prep will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
