Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monarch). They put the hurt on the Frederick Golden Eagles with a sharp 6-0 victory on Tuesday. It was an even better day for Paloma Mellish as she scored three goals for her team.

With the win, Monarch broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5-1. As for Frederick, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monarch will welcome Horizon at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th. The timing isn't great for Monarch: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Horizon have snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. As for Frederick, they will host Holy Family at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Frederick's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
