Basketball Game Preview: Bridges Prep Buccaneers vs. Barnwell Warhorses

The Bridges Prep Buccaneers will head out to square off against the Barnwell Warhorses at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bridges Prep will be strutting in after a victory while Barnwell will be coming in after a loss.

Bridges Prep took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Cross, posting an 83-43 win. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Stingrays are ranked 293rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Barnwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Lake Marion, falling 61-38.

Bridges Prep has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Barnwell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
