After a string of four wins, Stearns's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Schenck Wolverines. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Minutemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-23 back in December of 2024.

Stearns now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Schenck, their record is now 12-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stearns will square off against Lee Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Schenck, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Greenville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Schenck is facing Greenville at the right time seeing as Greenville is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
