Baseball Game Preview: Greenwood Blue Jays vs. Spokane Owls

The Greenwood Blue Jays will challenge the Spokane Owls at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Greenwood has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Greenwood lost 17-4 to Sparta on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Spokane fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Clever on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Blue Jays by a score of 10-9. The Owls haven't had much luck with the Blue Jays recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Spokane got a big performance out of Logan Rollings, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Gavin Kildea was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Spokane's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Greenwood, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Greenwood beat Spokane 10-6 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Blue Jays have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Owls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
