Crimson Cliffs entered their tilt with Hurricane on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-1 last Tuesday.

RYKER TAYLOR looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, JASON MCARTHUR was a standout: he scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. AUSTIN SMITH was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Crimson Cliffs' victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Hurricane, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Crimson Cliffs and Hurricane could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings. The Mustangs (ranked 31st) will meet Desert Hills (ranked second) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hurricane will take on Snow Canyon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (53 vs. 7).
