Basketball Recap: Shaker Bison vs. Niskayuna Silver Warriors
On Friday, the Shaker Bison's game was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 57-47 victory over Niskayuna. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Shaker.
Shaker found their leader in underclassman Jayla Geter, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sierra Carter, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Shaker is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Niskayuna, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.
Shaker will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Columbia's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Niskayuna, they will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Averill Park is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
