Baseball Game Preview: Reading Blue Devils vs. Wyoming Cowboys

The Reading Blue Devils will take on the Wyoming Cowboys at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Wyoming took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Reading, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, Reading beat Seven Hills 7-4.

JT Disbennett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on 12 hits. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Reading is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-14 otherwise.

At the plate, Carter Reed was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. He has become a key player for Reading: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three hits, but 4-14 otherwise.

Reading was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Wyoming was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They lost 8-1 to Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. The Cowboys' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Reading's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Wyoming, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
