Baseball Game Preview: Edison Eagles vs. South Brunswick Vikings

For the second straight game, Edison will face off against South Brunswick. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Edison has lost four straight at home , while South Brunswick has lost five on the road (dating back to last season).

Edison's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top against South Brunswick by a score of 5-0. That looming 5-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Not much got past Robert Roma, who gave up just four hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep South Brunswick off the board. Roma also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Edison is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-6 otherwise.

At the plate, Edison's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brody Ferrrer, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Ferrrer has brought in this season. Another was Dom Innocenti, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

South Brunswick's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Edison, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
