Woodrow Wilson posted their closest win since September 4th on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the South Charleston Black Eagles 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Flying Eagles in their matchups with the Black Eagles: they've now won nine in a row.

Woodrow Wilson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 26-24, 16-14.

Their offense was headlined by Anya Hasan and Reagan Rist, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Makayla Adkins and her 30 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Woodrow Wilson's win bumped their record up to 20-12-6. As for South Charleston, they moved to 19-15 with that defeat, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Coincidentally, Woodrow Wilson and South Charleston will both be playing Wirt County the next time they take the court. The Black Eagles will host the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Flying Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
