Baseball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They fell 3-0 to the Davenport Central Blue Devils. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 16-8 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in June of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Davenport Central, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 4-8 record.

Jefferson has already played their next game, a 10-4 loss against Iowa City on the 13th. As for Davenport Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 defeat against Dubuque Senior on the 13th.
