Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vancleave). They put the hurt on the East Central Hornets with a sharp 66-42 win on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bulldogs with their most commanding win of the season.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aj Hopkins, who posted 15 points along with six boards and four steals. That was a full 35.7% of East Central's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. Trey Maryland was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Vancleave's victory ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-16. As for East Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
