Lansing came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Turner Golden Bears by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lansing took both sets by at least 21 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-4.

Avery Sands paced Lansing's offense, picking up eight kills. Sands got some help from Brooklyn Andrews and her 12 assists. Sands was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Lansing's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Turner, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Lansing has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Shawnee Heights on the 23rd. As for Turner, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Varsity Opponent on the 18th.
