North Raleigh Christian Academy has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will host the Providence Day Chargers at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, North Raleigh Christian Academy lost to Harrells Christian Academy on the road by a 34-18 margin. The Knights were down 34-12 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Providence Day entered their tilt with Christ School on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Greenies 55-7 at home. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won three games by 47 points or more so far this season.

Providence Day's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Zaid Lott, who threw for 298 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt, and Ian Cline, who gained 189 total yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Lott a new career-high in rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Gordon Sellars, who picked up 117 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Providence Day's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. Cairo Skanes picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. Justin Abanquah was another major factor on D, making 13 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Providence Day was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're rushing yard total in three consecutive contests.

North Raleigh Christian Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Providence Day, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

North Raleigh Christian Academy was taken down by Providence Day 62-10 in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point North Raleigh Christian Academy was down 48-3.
