Volleyball Recap: Albany Victorious

Albany extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Encinal. They had just enough and edged out the Jets 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since April 7th.

Albany wouldn't go down easily and took Encinal into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-20, 25-17, 26-28, 15-13.

Albany is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-14 record this season. As for Encinal, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-12.

Looking ahead, Albany will face off against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Cougars have won seven straight at home, while the Huskies won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Encinal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
