Franklinton waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Northern Durham Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

The victory didn't come easy: Northern Durham scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 25-22.

Franklinton was led to victory by Adalyn Smith and Delaney Boylan. Smith had 12 assists and seven aces, while Boylan had nine digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Franklinton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. They served four more aces than Northern Durham's also-impressive total of 14.

Franklinton's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Northern Durham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Franklinton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Roanoke Rapids on the 26th. As for Northern Durham, they will head out to take on Southern School of Energy and Sustainability at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Knights' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
