Volleyball Recap: Spring Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clark on Tuesday, Spring Valley came back down to earth. The Grizzlies came up short against the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions on Thursday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountain Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-9, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Spring Valley still got an impressive performance from Mackenzie Means, who had 13 assists and seven digs. Means has been hot, having posted 13 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Sierra Vista, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-11.

Spring Valley has already played their next contest (against Rancho), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Sierra Vista, they will head out on the road to challenge Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
