Baseball Game Preview: Wilmington Hurricane vs. Trotwood-Madison Rams

The Wilmington Hurricane will venture away from home to take on the Trotwood-Madison Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilmington has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 11.

Things were looking good for Wilmington after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of McClain by a score of 2-1.

Wilmington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ebon Louderback, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Meanwhile, Trotwood-Madison came up short against West Carrollton on Thursday, falling 10-2. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wilmington's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Trotwood-Madison, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Everything went Wilmington's way against Trotwood-Madison in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, as Wilmington made off with a 16-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricane since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
