League recap: St. Joseph winning streak up to 13 games

St. Joseph (18-1, 3-0) is riding a league-best 13-game winning streak. Two of those wins came in the past week, includinga 2-1 victory over Smithville and a 4-2 win over Smithville. The team's hottest hitter over the past week was Raines Rester, who had two hits and drove in two runs.

The Fighting Irish currently lead the league with a 18-1 record overall and a 3-0 mark during league play. Shaw is 2.00 games back and in second place with a 1-2 league record.

St. Joseph's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only five hits and two walks, both of which led the league. The Fighting Irish's pitchers have been charged with only 69 hits and have struck out 171 batters. J'daylan Jackson is tops on the staff with 69 Ks.
