Basketball Recap: Ramsey Comes Up Short

Ramsey lost against Hillsboro back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ramsey Rams were dealt an 86-27 defeat at the hands of the Hillsboro Hiltoppers. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 677th, while the Hiltoppers are ranked 326th).

This is the second loss in a row for Ramsey and nudges their season record down to 1-8. As for Hillsboro, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Ramsey and Red Hill will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on December 26th. Hillsboro will take on Gillespie in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
