East Poinsett County has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Conway Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only East Poinsett County walked away with it. They took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 50-14 victory over Bearden. East Poinsett County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven contests by 27 points or more this season.

Dennis Gaines and Dee Buchanan were among the main playmakers for East Poinsett County as the former rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries and the latter rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Gaines hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Cooper Argo, who threw for 110 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Conway Christian earned a 39-32 win over Poyen on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Conway Christian.

Jeryn Thomas was a one-man wrecking crew for Conway Christian as he rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Domokos, who rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns.

East Poinsett County pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.62 points. As for Conway Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
