Football Recap: Webb Comes Up Short at Home Against Upperman

Webb unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 29-7 to the Upperman Bees on Friday. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Bronzdon Chaffin had a dynamite game For Upperman., rushing for 187 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 101 yards on seven of 12 attempts. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Chaffin a new career-high.

Webb has already played their next game, a 47-30 loss against Asheville School (Independent) on the 29th. As for Upperman, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 41-33 defeat against Greeneville on the 29th.
