Cary Christian barely beat St. David the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Knights have beaten the Warriors the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

While Cary Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-2, 25-9, 25-22.

Amanda Tancredo paced Cary Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Tancredo got some help from Presley Osborn and her 12 assists. Savannah Shiley controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Cary Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for St. David's, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coincidentally, Cary Christian and St. David's will both be playing Arendell Parrott Academy the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Patriots at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Knights will host them at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
