Volleyball Recap: Martin Gets the Win

The Martin Warriors earned a 3-1 win over the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 22-25, 25-17, 25-16.

Haley Patria was nothing short of spectacular: she had eight digs and seven aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last nine matches.

Patria wasn't the only good server: Martin was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive contests.

Martin's victory bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Lubbock-Cooper, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-5.

Martin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Burleson on the 30th. As for Lubbock-Cooper, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Lake Ridge on the 30th.
