Baseball Recap: North Marion Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Marion can now relate to. They fell just short of the Hernando Leopards by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. The Colts were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Leopards earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

North Marion saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trenton Ramsey, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. Tucker Jones also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

North Marion's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Hernando, their win bumped their record up to an identical 16-13.

North Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hernando, they will be playing in front of their home fans against The Villages Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Buffalo's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Leopards' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
