Smyrna took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 79-77 win over the Centennial Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since January 4th.

Elliyon Kinzer had a dynamite game, dropping a double-double with 27 points and 15 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Kaden Matthews was another key player, shooting 56% from the field on his way to 22 points and six boards.

Smyrna has already played their next game, an 82-58 loss against Brentwood on the 20th. As for Centennial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 88-75 win against Hume-Fogg on the 20th.
