Basketball Recap: San Lorenzo Valley Takes a Loss

San Lorenzo Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They had to suffer through a 77-24 loss at the hands of the Santa Cruz Cardinals. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Demarco Hunter was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 35 points and ten boards for Santa Cruz. The game was Hunter's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Mirtz, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

San Lorenzo Valley's record now sits at 4-13. As for Santa Cruz, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

San Lorenzo Valley will square off against Soquel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Soquel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season. As for Santa Cruz, they will face off against Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
