Football Game Preview: Graham/Dustin RiverHawk vs. Midway Chargers

The Graham/Dustin RiverHawk are taking a road trip to square off against the Midway Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Graham/Dustin comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Graham/Dustin is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Maud on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The RiverHawk were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 56-6. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Syrus Hicks, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Midway's offense. They were dealt a 46-0 loss at the hands of Maysville on Friday.

Midway's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Graham/Dustin, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-9.

Graham/Dustin didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Midway when the teams last played back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 12-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the RiverHawk since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
