Football Game Preview: Germantown vs. Douglass

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Germantown. They will look to defend their home turf on Thursday against Douglass at 7:00 PM. Douglass will need to watch out since Germantown have now posted big point totals in their last five contests.

It was all tied up at the half for Germantown and Southaven last Friday, but Germantown stepped up in the second half. Germantown took their match against Southaven by a conclusive 44-14 score.

Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout to Cordova in their previous contest, Douglass were happy to find some success. Douglass took down Manassas 40-22.

Their wins bumped Douglass to 3-3 and Germantown to 6-0. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
